Followers

Followers are a more fickle version of a fan, in essence. Whereas a fan tends to be “an enthusiastic devotee” of a content creator, a follower is a casual consumer of that creators output.

Fans have a purpose and are proactive in their consumption of media, whereas followers are by definition passive consumers.
